I had done a lot of research before I bought this pump and decided it was the one I wanted but then decided to just wait and see if I really needed one after my baby was born. I bought this pump on my way home from the hospital. It was a real life saver.

 It is so easy to use. Because you are pumping the handle yourself, you are able to find just the right rythym and suction and it totally saves you sore muscles from hand expressing. It is also really easy to put together and pull apart, even in the middle of the night when you are half asleep and are doing it in very dim light. I also find it so easy to sterilise and clean. You can put most of it in the dishwasher or just give it a quick scrub in the sink.

 I found it such a wonderful help to get over sore nipples and help me get used to breastfeeding and I still use it now if I find I need a break or want some extra milk to put aside for later. It isn't a cheap pump but if you look around at online chemists, I found you can save up to $65 compared to buying it in a store. Having this pump gave me real peace of mind knowing that if ever I got sore nipples again, I could just express milk and still feed my baby.

Overall I have been very happy with this pump. Easy to use, use to clean, excellent suction so always able to express good amounts each time. I haven't used any other pumps so cannot compare, but having said that I am happy with this one so have had no need to investigate others. A bit on the expensive side, but does the job well and that's important to me.

best of both worlds - can be used as a manual, battery or electric. Great that it is compatible with the VIA storage . Basically I would extarct and straight into the freezer.

I used manual hand pump with last baby and after investigating different options am really happy with this electric pump. It is not bulky, can be used manually if you want, provides good suction which is easily adjusted. RRP is cheaper than comparable products and if you shop around online you can get it for significantly less. It is also compatible with the VIA storage system which is handy. I would definitely recommend it.

Main complaint ( but I think this is true for all brands) is not being able to buy more pieces separately to use with the pump so that you can sterlise less often but maybe I didn't look around enough.

After trying two other breast pumps when I had to get my breast milk up due to baby not attaching properly, I found this breast pump to be the best of the three.

It was easy to operate, the pump action is adjustable so that you can have it 'sucking' harder on the breast or softer depending on your comfort level and the cup fits comfortable on the breast due to the padded edges.

I did find some leakage of milk sometimes around the cup area but this could have been due to me not holding it firmly. It was relatviely easy to clean although a little fiddly but nothing that a bit of practice doesn't fix.
