We had been using Huggies with a lot of hit and miss scenarios and leakage out the side. I saw the Safeties Nature Nappy at my local, 36 for $18. My local isn't cheap but I found that IGA sells for $14 for 32.
Anyway my DH asked me to put this up as he is extremely happy with them as he does the night change and our little dd has a tendency to pee just as he is removing the nappy. So pee everywhere but with Nature Nappy the outside absorbed the lot and DH is very happy. I like them because they fit snuggly and I don't get the pooy side leakage anymore. Definitely going with them. I bought a size possibly smaller for my dd and the tags didn't stick too well but as she wears body suits it doesn't really matter to me. BTW...I wandered why the other reviews talk about low fit and absorbency. I have bought the ones where they say on the outside New! Improved Absorbency & Fit....maybe BH needs to take that into account when reviews are done.

# Brand Name: Safeties by SeNevens
# Features (grip tabs or tape tabs, cloth cover or plastic cover?, leak guards?: Made from fabric rather then paper, has grip tabs and cloth cover # Value-for money - do you think they're a reasonable price for what you get? No, they are quite expensive - a pack of 24 cost $25.95 # Likes and Dislikes (what's the best and worst thing/s about this brand?: Best: 100% biodegradable Worst: 1) Foreign made despite being Australian owned 2) Performance: poor performing when using for longer period of time. For example, if I leave my daughter in a Bambo or Moltex nappy for three hours and she wets it heavily they will hold everything, this nappy leaked after two hours!! # Where is it available? (online, supermarket…): In supermarkets in Western Australia and online at several stores I just wanted to share with you my experience with a new 100% biodegradable nappy that has come on to the market: Safeties by SeNevens. I was quite excited when I found out that an Australian company had developed a 100% biodegradable nappy. I ordered a pack of these and when they arrived I was.... DISAPPOINTED!!! Firstly, yes the company is Australian owned but the nappy is manufactured in China and in my opinion that defeats the purpose of this nappy screaming "buy me because I am 100% biodegradable". Think about it, by making these nappies in China they are not only adding to the Greenhouse effect by adding to pollution through shipping, they also take away the opportunity for Australians to gain employment, from the producer who supplies material to the manufacturer who makes them. In my opinion it is not enough for the company to be Australian owned - it is a good start but if the company is Australian owned they should give Australians a fair go and create jobs for them, as well as considering the environment. There is no point having a 100% biodegradable product that uses lot's of energy because it has to be shipped from China - think about it!!

There were some issues with leakage, but overall this nappy is softer and just as absorbent than others i have used.

Finally!!!! A 100% biodegradable nappy :) I now no longer feel guilty about using disposables and you can even compost these yourself if you're keen. The absorbency is not good on these nappies though so I wouldn't use them at night time, but during the day these are fine. (I use Ecobots at nightime which are an excellent absorbent nappy and are 70% biodegradable).

Not bad if your are desperate for an enviro friendly product. I used the newborn size for my 3 week old baby boy. You have to change this nappy frequently to avoid messy leaks, for this reason value for money is low. Cost about the same as Huggies but you use far more of them. The outer covers is ultra soft and lovely and the inside layer keeps baby dry but the filling looks and feels like wet newspaper when soiled. Sorry but I won't be using them again as it is just not worth the extra washing and having baby wake from his naps because of leaks.
