Summary: Love it (mostly)
September 23rd, 2008

We love our Beema, it has heaps of good points, however one major drawback for us. I wish it came with a toddler seat so I didn't have to change!

Good points:
It reclines well with 3 positions, flat, inclined and upright. The handle is adjustable, and the basket underneath holds heaps, though it can be awkward when the seat is reclined. Its very easy to steer and push, and very stable - I hang my kapoochi bag on the handle and it has never tipped over, even when bub is not in it.
The elite doesn't rust as its powdercoated - my firend has the basic model and the wheels are ruined after 2 years. The elite also has better fabric than the other models. Mine is red and hasn't faded after a year.
There's a big pouch below the handle for all my stuff though things tend to get lost. I got lots of use out of the bassinet - it was bub's only bed for the first 3 months, and closes completely over for dark and privacy when sleeping.
It fits in all supermarket aisles. Great brakes, very easy to use.
I had a problem with ballbearings which was fixed very quickly under warranty, i was impressed with the service
Weighs 12kg - light for its class but too heavy for a pregnant mum to lift in and out of the car

 Bad points:
The major drawback is that there is no toddler seat, now that Bub#2 is on the way I have to sell it and buy a new one. Don't buy it if you are planning on having two close together where both need the pram.
You can get a nasty pinch when opening up from folded if you hold it at the wrong point
Its very easy to scrape the footrest when learning to fold - I would recommend a practice run on the carpet. Check out ebay - every beema on sale has the same scrape!
The harness is ridiculously large and loose, my daughter is 1yr old and only now is it the right size. I had to tie it together behind the removable seat insert to shorten the straps.
Beema accessories are expensive, though most universal covers fit. The nappy bag especially is too small to be really useful - no room for toys, spare change of clothes etc.
Can tip sideways especially if you are pulling it backwards and hit a bump, care is needed

Summary: Not really so good for money
May 12th, 2008

We decided on this pram because we thought it only costs around 1/3 of the experience brand we were going to buy. What a regrateful diecision. My baby is 7 weeks old, the basanett handle has already torn, the catch on the pram for folding and unfolding is not working, when the pram is up for a ride, the folding bottom is not even pupped up and engaging the hole to held the pram up.

We had to buy a sunshade, which costs $49.95. It doesn't have rain cover, sheep skin lining for baby. If we are getting all the accessaries, it would push the purchase price over $700.00. So it really is not cheap at all.

It looks good and has a very attractive purchase price, however, you get what you paid for. Maybe I am just used to the emmaljunga pram I had for my second child 5 years ago.

It is too heavy for a small woman, especially I was promised that it won't have any problem in lifting, or folding, or unfolding. But I just find it hard to handle and set it up everytime without my husbby's help. He actually wants to take it back and get refund.

Overall this is a great pram and am very happy with it.  It is easy to push, has great storage and features and bub has a very comfortable ride.  We walk most days and it has been great for this.  The bassinette was a great feature.  We too used it for overnight stays while bub was little and the fact both hoods could be closed was great to protect bub from the sun, wind, light etc.  The only complaints would be that it does take up a lot of room in the car boot and can be a bit hard to get in and out of the boot, especially in the early days after bub arrives if you are not feeling that strong, like I was.  It can be a bit of a squeeze in some shopping isles and it does take a bit of getting used to where you can fit with it!  it was the best value pram we could find.

The pram is easy to push etc.. just a bit wide for some aisles but great for walking. Not much storage space when bubs is lying back asleep, but great when sitting upright. No drink holders, I believe you cant get seat attachments for toddlers. The pram takes up alot of room in boot but overall is comfy for bubs, he isnt squashed in like some other prams. Tha bassinet attachment was a waste of money though, I never used it !!

I bought this pram for my first baby and it has been excellnt! The basinette option was a HUGE bonus, letting me completely close the pram hood over the basinette to keep the noise, sun and wind away from my new little one.

A tad heavy and bulky, but it was the 2nd lightest 3-wheeler I was looking at. I was tossing up between this and the Phil & Teds 3-wheeler, but decided on the Beema Q because it looked much better than the Phil & Teds.

A bit awkward to get in and out of the boot (not very compact) and took up a bit of room - especially when using the basinette.

But overall I'm very happy with the aesthetics and functinality of the pram - very durable and hardy!!

If you are after style, but within a realistic price range, then this is definately the pram for you. It comes in the most gorgeous colour combination - like the one pictured and also a pale blue and mocha version which total strangers have come up to me to comment on! Even the included nappy bag co-ordinates perfectly. Don't get me wrong, it has every feature you will probably want in a three wheeler. For example it is the lightest weight three wheelers that I could find on the market. It is also the narrowest which means it will fit through all the check-out aisles at my local supermarket, not just the disabled access one! And most of the three wheelers that I looked at were too wide to fit through. It has a huge storage compartment, a single bar brake (some prams have one on each wheel), an included foot cover, a safety wrist strap. It is super easy to unfold (one handed) and easy to fold with an easy mechanism. Put it this way, my short list of prams was only two - the Bugaboo or this one, and this one won out on features and price.
