Summary: OK but not great.
March 29th, 2008
This pram is OK but not great. I must admit I was expecting more from this pram considering it's price tag, so I have been left a little disappointed. To be specific, here's just a few points worth considering...

The pram is easy to move about on smooth surfaces such as shopping centres, but take it out on a slightly bumpy or uneven footpath then it can be a little uncooperative. If the front wheel happens to hit a bump (even the smallest of bumps) then it can 'stall' the pram so you have to ever-so-slightly tip it back to lift the front wheel over the bump. The front wheel can swivel or be fixed so you do have a certain amount of control over it which is great, but I was hoping for a better performance. A note about the wheels, luck of the draw, I have had a few problems with one of the back wheels. Whilst in motion one keeps coming off (scary!), even after I had checked and double-checked that it was attached properly. It's currently being looked at so I'm without the pram for a few days *sigh*

So far the pram seems durable. I have used it constantly for the past several months and it is holding up well. One annoying thing is the name on the frame is starting to scratch/ rub off. I also used the bassinet attachment for the first three months and the fabric lining has 'pilled' quite badly, even to the point that the Child Health Nurse asked during one of my appointments if the pram was second-hand ???!!!

Definitely easy to fold away. On the odd occasion if I don't hold the two buttons down correctly it proves to be difficult (usually happens when I'm in a rush), but the majority of time it is very easy to fold down. If you have the seat facing forward then you can collapse it all as one, but if you use it seat rear-facing then you have to remove the seat first and fold the frame separately. A bit annoying, but I think there are a lot of prams like this. In regards to assembling the pram, the frame lifts via a gas-lift... so easy! Must admit this was one selling feature that I really liked about it (there seems to be a few prams where you need a degree to open it up!).

The pram is a manageable weight. I'm a small person (only 5'2") and I can lift/ carry the pram with relative ease. When it is in two parts (i.e. the frame and the seat) then it is definitely lightweight.

The storage space is definitely a let down. There is what they call a 'buzz' bag attached to the back of the frame (by your feet) which is only big enough to really hold your wallet, mobile, a nappy or two and that's about it. Definitely not for shopping. I actually had to take it off as I kept kicking it when walking (very annoying) and when I would lift the pram up into the boot of my car it would fall off anyway. So I brought the shopping basket accessory and was still disappointed. The basket is very small, one or two shopping bags and it's full, and it's also a little awkward to access.

In regards to value for money I honestly don't think it's worth the big price tag. Not that I have seriously looked at other cheaper prams to make comparisons (when I was deciding on a pram it was either the Quinny Buzz or the Bugaboo) so I might be wrong... After using this pram for several months I am now kicking myself that I didn't spend just a little more and get the Bugaboo (my sister has a Bugaboo and loves it).

The pram does come with a few accessories (raincover and net), but one feature that I believe is a must have on any pram - the shopping basket - this is an additional accessory expense which I think is ridiculous.

I don't mean to sound so negative in my feedback as I'm not totally dissatisified with the pram. Overall, the Quinny Buzz is not a horrible pram, but it's definitely not one that I would rave about. If I had my time again I would probably buy something else and give that a go rather than the Buzz.

Summary: Excellent Pram
July 28th, 2007
This is a great pram! Easy to open (one touch opening!) Closing is pretty simple also - does take two hands to push it down. Average size once folded down (about the same size as the bugaboo) Seat faces forward & backward. Very roomy for the baby - Comfy ride. Fits the Maxi-Cosi car seat so you don't have to take bub out of the car seat if he's sleeping... the car seat/capsule snaps directly onto the buzz frame! (huge bonus points for this!)

Summary: the Buzz is a great pram!
July 26th, 2007
ive just got my buzz this week - (we have a peg aria)

so we've given it a good work out!

biggest test was day 1 with bubby, 3 walking kids and a puppy on a lead. its been over grass, roads and path..

so heres my review, bubby is 5.5 months and weighs nearly 8kg

~THE GOOD-

*he can face me! (NO more ergo for mummy!)

*the bar can come on and off- good for holding his ring toys and when off the seat is almost flat.

* the sun shade is a really good size comes over him further than a lot of other prams ive had over the years

*one touch opening! *say no more*

*the back rest is nice and wide. 5 month old looks like he has lots of growing room

*the seat tips back very far, bubby is nearly flat

*the handle can go so high! great for tall mummas!

*the front wheel is tucked under enough so far i havent tripped up one walking kid!

~THE BAD-

*if you use it with seat facing parent then you cant fold it down this way. you will have to take the seat right off or turn it facing out to fold the frame down

*my older ds, little size for 5yr old and just 18kg, sat in this seat to give us an idea on how id go pushing bubby at about 3-4yr old. well, his feet touched the front wheel and he had to really try keep them on the foot rest, knees up, or they would dangle on the wheel. it didnt look very comfy for him. height wise he was under the sun shade, tho that can go a little higher anyway. he had plenty of room but it was a little harder to push him in it.

next we tried it out on friends 12kg just turn 2 yr old. sitting facing out in the full upright it felt like he was too far forward...still easy to push in reverse but the seat doesnt sit all the way up in reverse and little 2 yr old was pulling forward to sit up.

*it is very hard to change the seat from forward facing to facing out when bubby is in it. when the sun hit us and the shade wasnt enough i wanted to change the seat. i didnt want to plonk him down on the roadside so did it with him in it- it was a real struggle.

*there is no storage. that may be a problem for some. there is a zipper in the back of the pram and i can fit one nappy and a small wipes in there so thats enough for me.

*the bag that clips to the frame (buzz box) is right at your feet and i kicked it, a lot! so i made the handle higher. took a while to get used to it being so high. the height of the handle on the lowest os already a nice height.

*the big wheels at the back are pumped up so that means taking a pump with you everywhere.

*the back wheels are wide and it wont fit everywhere youd like to walk. its also wide for a small boot.

~ THE UGLY-

the frame! it is very very very hard to fold down and makes this horrid crunching noise if you dont get it right. im hoping this will get easier with use.

i have been taking the seat off to fold the frame as i use it in the facing me position.

so its

1) take the seat off and put it in the boot

2) take the bar off the seat (you dont have to but it the seat is almost flat without it on and i put the pram on top of the seat

3)leaning over the smaller wheel and holding one hand on each side of the frame. one side the button slides the other is to be pushed in and while your doing that you have to push down on the frame.

or we did try to fold it down with seat still on, seems a little easier with something more to push against on the push down and in bit....but theres no way my back could handle putting it into the boot again with seat still attached. its very very heavy. so two parts it is for me!

overall-

i think its a great pram, easy to push and smooth ride for bubby. he has plenty of room. the seat belt is great- no little people undoing that one!

its strong and should last til bubby is too big for it.

Summary: Trendy but poor performer
June 27th, 2007
I bought the Quinny expecting that it would be the perfect pram. I am very disappointed with its performance and am going to buy another brand pram. I have found the front wheel very difficult to steer, infact you can be pushing the pram along the pathway or at the shops and if it hits a slight bump on the floor it can turn in the other direction. It often slopes to one side. Sometimes it has been difficult to fold down and makes a cracking noise. The shopping basket is also too tiny, I end up having to carry everything in my hand and cause it's so hard to steer it's a nightmare. The one plus is that the bag (included) attached to the pram is great so I dont need to lug around the nappy bag. Also, the bubby can face either direction. It's a trendy pram but not worth the money.

Summary: Absolutely Fantastic!
May 1st, 2007
Beautiful pram. This is the third pram that I bought as I wasn't happy with the other 2. Love this pram! Have taken it to Thailand (fits in the double Mountain Buggy travel bag) and also numerous times interstate. The gas lift mechanism to unfold is fantastic as is the ability to clip the pram closed when folded. My daughter loves that she can look at me (seat is reversible). Previous to this I had a typical 3-wheeler and found it bulky, hard to manage when folded (always opened up on me), that it overbalanced often (especially with anything on handlebars) and that my daughter did not like always having to look out and not at me. Highly recommend this fantastic pram (best investment I have made)!

Summary: Awesome!
April 18th, 2007
We love our Buzz so much, it really is a fantastic pram. A dream to push, folds up nice and compact to fit in a smallish boot, the Buzz bag is awesome to keep all your baby goodies. It's definitely worth purchasing the shopping basket so you can carry lots more stuff under the pram.....this only cost me about $30. Really the only downside with this pram is occassionally I have trouble pumping up the tyres (I get my hubby's help!)and the Quinny writing on the frame can rub off........but all in all, a sensational & very good looking pram/stroller.
