I've had my Phil and Ted's for 18 months now and am really happy with it. My son slept really well in it from new born (we bought the cocoon) and he always looks comfy! I've jogged and run across bumpy ovals with no problems. The brake is a bit tricky, but I just use my hand with no problems. The steering isn't as good as the Mountain buggy, but not too bad (just make sure all tyres are pumped up properly as this makes a huge difference). My only gripe is the fact that you can't adjust the seat incline with bub in the pram. Mountain buggy have a clever pully system on the back of their pram, so if Phil and Ted's do something like this, it'll be much better. I highly recommend this pram to anyone thinking of having bubs close together, as its pros definitely outway the cons! Also, I recently heard that Phil and Ted's have bought out Mountain Buggy, so maybe they will take some of the great features from Mountain Buggy's prams and adapt them to make the Phil and Ted's even better!

This pram is great for the money I got double kit with UV cover and storm cover for $450.00 new, easy to manoeuvre around, easy to fold and fits in the back of my corolla hatch back, has many different positions and you can add the extra seat (which I am currently using as a rocker) for an additional child, everyone seems to complain about the brake I haven't had a problem with mine a bit stiff but nothing to complain about. I will add after reading all the reviews I was put off by this pram, but a friend of mine swore by hers so I bought it and couldn't be happier although the name SPORT it probably a bit misleading you can't run with the pram. Maybe they think it looks sporty? I do like the look of this pram.

I absolutely love my P&T's sport! It's easy to manouvere (even in tight spaces) and very stylish. It's great for use when walking or even at your local shopping centre. It seems very comfy for bubs, too. I also like the fact that you can attach an extra seat when you have another child. Yes, the brake is stiff but it needs to be as easily reached by a child when you have the seat on the back. The only other thing I found was that the bottom rear clasp for sitting position up is quite stiff but I have been assured that this loosens up after time. I love this pram and would recommend it to anybody!!

after having had my kids and then oooops along came no3 so i had previous knowledge and had expectations when researching. loved this pram/stroller whatever as i am getting up to date with all the different things/names but the only fault i have with this is that the hooks have ripped a hole in each side when unfolding the other day - i have had it for nearly 2 years and was about to give it a good wash - love just love how easy it is to remove and put in bathtub - comes up new - but bugga me if it just happened!!

GRRR!! We purchased this pram in June 2007 to accomodate baby number 2 and I can honestly say it only has ONE plus... but it is a HUGE one. With baby and toddler on board, it fits through all aisles etc that any regular 3 wheeler can with both bubs very comfortable and able to sleep if required unlike front toddler seats. All downhill from there though. The design is insanely UNergonomic! Folding and unfolding risks life and limb (fingers anyway!) and the handle bar gets trashed each time. The hood is flimsy and rips out of it's bracket regularly. The brake is ridiculously hard to get on and off (even after WD-40) and so rough it wakes baby to do so. Handlebar, though adjustable, doesn't come back far enough when toddler seat is on the back. Recline mechanism (zip & clips) are fiddly and difficult and CANNOT be used while bub is in pram. When we just have one bub to push, it's always back to the unbelievably great B.O.B. Revolution for us. Phil and Teds have a LOT of work to do to get this 'new and improved' model up to acceptable....

I bought the Phil and Ted's sport for my third child. I have previously owned a mountain buggy (which I loved) but it had no option for a second child, I had also owned a side by side twin pram. I really find that the phil and teds is by far the best option I have tried for two children. That said, it does have both good and bad points.
Good points: -It is easy to manoeuver - almost as easy to push as my mountain buggy even with two children on board. -Very versatile - can be a single or a double -Narrow wheel base - having owned a side by side twin pram I really love being back to a narrow pram. -Love the adjustable handle -I quite like the reclinable rear seat. Although this obviously won't work for older children because their head would hit the bar, for babies it is great. It beats most other toddler seats. -Folds up quite small for a three wheeler Bad points (or things needing improvement): -The zips and clips method for changing the recline position of the main seat is the worst I have ever come across. It seems to me plain stupid to keep this system when there are much better tried and true ones available. Why it can't use a simple strap recline system like the mountain buggy I don't know. -The main hood is rather inadequate considering the height of the main seat - for a baby it doesn't provide much coverage. -There is no sun protection for the child in the rear seat unless you use the sun cover. -The double sport UV cover does not fit over the rear seat when the rear seat is reclined. -You do have to be careful that it doesn't tip backwards (my toddler likes to get in and out of the front seat), however I have found this less of a problem than I anticipated. I agree with comments that not much user testing has been done on this pram. I could see most of these faults before I even purchased, but purchased anyway because of its flexibility for two children. It is a pity that more user testing isn't done on this pram, because a few simple improvements could make this pram almost unbeatable.

I've only had this pram for 4 months with my first baby but I have to say that I'm pretty happy with it. Before we bought it, my husband did all the research and we settled on a P&T because of its ability to handle 2 kids. I use the pram everyday and walk for hours with my bub. He initally started in the newborn position in the cocoon. I positioned the cocoon so he was facing me and I was really impressed with how easy it was to clip him in. Accessing the storage basket is a bit of a bugger with the baby in the newborn position, especially if the bub is sleeping. My boy is now sitting up in the pram and I find that he loves it. I love how easy it is to push, manoeuver and countless times, I've been so happy with how narrow the pram is. I can get into aisles, on the tram, train etc. I think the drawbacks of the pram are the stiff brakes. You really have to push very hard to put the brakes on and off - this is annoying (I probably just need to WD40 them) because it makes you reluctant to put the brakes on if you just need to stop for a second. The other drawback is that the storage basket isn't huge and the straps are very difficult to adjust. And last but not least - I know that this pram is supposed to be one of the lightest - but I still think it's pretty heavy to load in and out of the car. And another annoying feature (but one that I think you find in every pram) is that you have to unload everything out of the storage basket before you put it in the car - otherwise it falls out.
That being said, I walk everywhere with this pram and I am very happy with it.

Have only been using this for 6 weeks and a few gripes. Nappy bay will not fit in the underneath storage, therfore I hang it over the handles...but if the pram is in the newborn position it makes it awkward to push the pram comfortably. Compared to other 3 wheels it collapses better but it is still bulky compared to the 4 wheelers. It also takes a bit of getting use to when trying to collapse it into the most compact shape possible. Many times I have got it out of the boot and tried again because the boot would't close properly. Underneath storage is difficult to access when pram is in the newborn position. Value for $$$- I suppose its just as comparable to other 3 wheels on the market, just depends what you want and how much your willing to pay.
All accessories are extra money, but it does offer a wide range. Lots of colours to choose from

The best pram ever!! We purchased our 1st one in 2004. I am currently pregnant with our 3rd baby and we just recently bourght our 2nd Phil & Teds. I have about 2 weeks to go and I am still lifting the pram out of the 4WD. So it is light weight and easy to collaps. The toddler seat is also easy to remove.
I would say that some of the acessories could be a little cheaper and that the storage basket could be bigger. But it still is the best value for money due to the fact it has a PROPER toddler seat that can your child an lean back in and rest their head, not to mention that it can be used with newborn/toddler and two toddlers! Highly reccommended - just keep the tyers pumped up and the front wheel lubed!

I bought this pram when we had our 2nd child in 2006. I agree with all the comments Reviewer: Anon 87020930c7 has to say. We are now expecting our third child and I am very happy that we have this pram on board with us. It has been very easy to use and as a consequence of how happy I have been with it I have had several friends purchase the pram also.
Just to note, I have found that it is very hard to put the pram in the travel bag. There is lots of pushing & pulling to make it fit - a bit like tetris! The travel bag is almost too short and a couple of extra inches of frabric would make all the difference. We had to take off the wheels (expected to do this) as well as the handle bar to make it fit. Unfortunately the travel bag got a hole in it from where one end rubbed against other luggage because the fabric was quite tight around the foot frame (due to the shortness of the travel bag). Overall we are very happy with our purchase.

I bought Phil & Teds e3 V2 about 6 weeks ago. I have a 2 year old and a 7 month old. Reason for buying is that bub is getting too heavy to carry with my Baby Bjorn (I previously got by with toddler in my Bugaboo and bub in BB). Chose this stroller over other doubles/twins as lightweight, didn't look ugly or plasticky, narrow enough to fit through normal shop aisles and supermarket checkouts, is the only one my toddler would sit in during "test drives" (the other one was Mountain Buggy Urban Double but it is too heavy, too wide and too expensive), has ability to convert back to single pram once my toddler gets old enough to want to walk everywhere and we just need stroller for bub. It is extremely easy to manoeuvre but also because of this and 3 instead of 4 wheels, feels unstable when brakes are engaged and liable to roll if on slope. Had a few scary moments due to this on sloping travelators at shopping centre. Also it is almost impossible to bring main seat back to upright if has been put into recline as the side zips and clasps at the back can't be done up when child is still in stroller. Probably ok if cooperative toddler sitting in it who can sit up whilst you do up the seat back again but my toddler won't sit in the main seat - she insists on sitting in the bottom (add on toddler seat) which means my baby who can't sit up on her own yet is in the main seat. The other problem with my toddler insisting on sitting down the bottom is that it makes the stroller more likely to tip backwards and I am always conscious of this so have to keep one hand on handlebar at all times. Another problem is that it is very difficult to operate the footbrake when the toddler seat is attached (this compared to handbrake in my Bugaboo). I don't like not being able to have bub facing me (my Bugaboo had reversible handlebars) and bub also did not like this at first. She is just starting to get used to not being able to see me after 6 weeks. I have the e3 V2 so not the silly sport reclinable toddler add-on seat which just from looking at pictures on internet I can see when reclined the child's head is liable to hit the bar across the back of the head. I've noticed some reviewers have commented on this. When collapsing the stroller I got my finger caught once in the hinglng part of the main stroller as it was folding down (ouch!) and it is very difficult to try to keep the seat and handlebar from touching the ground, but then again I haven't had it long and probably haven't gotten used to it yet. Am used to my Bugaboo which comes apart into 2 and it is easy to not get dirty the parts that bub will be sitting in or touching. There is a good range of accessories and the sunshade fits very well and is of a nice soft material rather than hard, difficult to fold shadecloth. Very popular stroller so good resale value (see eBay).
Overall the best option I can find for my budget and situation but a lot of faults, some of which might compromise safety of child/ren. Would have kept Bugaboo if had a feasible toddler option (skateboard attachment does not offer much rest for toddler and she refuses to get on it).

With a tear in my eye, I sold my Mountain Buggy to buy a P&T Sport once my 2nd baby was born. With only 19 months between kids, this was really the best option out there.
For the first week it was OK. Then the problems started. I noticed that my newborn's head was lower than her feet. Apparently this is a known problem, and P&T sent me a strap to adjust her position. However, with the toddler seat in place, she barely fit into the newborn position once she was older than 2 months! Her legs touched the seat in front of her, stopping her from kicking and moving, and she would scream whenever I put her in the pram. As a result, I ended up carrying her around in a Baby Bjorn until she hit the 5 month mark. We now have the pram set up with the two toddler seats, which is working much better. As a previous reviewer remarked, if you have the back seat in a recline position, their head is likely to bump against a large metal bar. This isn't a problem for us yet but will be in a couple of months. Unfortunately I still think it's probably the best pram for the job on the market, but it is FAR from perfect. They need to do some actual user testing over there in NZ, because many of this pram's faults are readily apparent as soon as you put children into it and start to walk!

So easy to set up and put down when you're bleary eyed from lack of sleep. Wheels come off easily so good for small boot of car. Lightweight which is good for post pregnancy recovery and beyond. Doesn't look and isn't tizzy like so many other prams out there! Narrow wheel base means you don't need to worry about whether you will fit down a shopping aisle or not. Easily washable & accessories are fuss free. Toddler seat so much safer than other prams + easy to attach when needed.
Highy recommend this pram!

I bought this pram as I have a toddler and an 8 month old.
The ability to move the toddler seat around impressed me, but to be honest now that I have purchased this pram and used it for a few months, it it is not that impressive. The new sports allows for the toddler seat to recline, via zips on each side. This is fine is you have a very short toddler! Once the zips are undone it drops below the bar which runs above the toddlers head, therefore if their head is above this height you can't use the drop down feature. Due to this I have had to put my baby in this seat, and at eight months her head is just touching the bar, and if you go over a bump, hits her head. To stop this you don't use the lie back feature, but then it defeats the purpose of having a lie back section for when a child falls asleep! Another annoying part is the fact that to change the pram around is a nightmare if you are on your own with two kids. You can't possibly do it one handed. The clasps that run across the back of the main seat are hard enough to do up with two hands, and impossible to do up if you have a child in the seat. The main seat does not have a very good lie back positioning due to it being held in place by clasps. It only allows for upright or almost fully down. You cannot have it fully down if you have the toddler seat behind as the child underneath has the front seat sitting right on top of them. Therefore if the front riding child falls asleep they have to sleep upright, or you have to somehow hold them whilst sleeping, hold the other child too, take the toddler seat off and put on the front, creating a lie down area with the original seat. Talk about a challenge! With the toddler seat on the front of the pram, and the main seat in the lie down position it seems that this is only suitable for small babies. My 8 month olds leg area is squashed under the seat of the toddler seat, plus trying to get her in there when the toddler seat is already on is impossible. You cannot, unless you go to the front of the pram and pull their legs forward, get them in there unless the toddler seat is off. You can just lie them in there back a bit, but then the seat belt is too far away so that you can't use it, and due to the open back area, this is too dangerous. When you have the toddler seat in the back position it is impossible (unless you have tiny feet) to get your foot in to step on, or release the brake. I always have to bend down and use my hand. The brake is a very strong hold, which is great, but to do with your hand is hard. The pram will also not fold up with the toddler seat attached, and to fold up in general it is a bit hard as it you either have to end up with the handle (soft padded) digging into the ground, or the seat area. It does not fold down so that the bottom of the pram is the only area touching the ground so i am forever trying to keep it all off the ground and not get it dirty. With the storage space, there is plenty of room if this pram is used for one child. When the toddler seat is in the back, the storage space is where the child's feet go for this seat. This basically takes up all the room. By using this seat means that you cannot hang a bag over the handle area. There are saddle bags available, but these then widen the pram making it impossible to fit through checkouts, doors etc. In regards to value for money. I don't think it is very good value for what it is. Considering you still have to buy all the accessories, it makes for a very expensive pram.

Very happy with this model! This will be bub's third pram, mainly because the other cheaper models that we had purchased just couldn't handle the wear and tear or adapt to his growing needs. The main motivation for buying this particular one was the versatility - yet it is still priced amoung other popular brands that simply don't adapt as much as this pram. The fabric is really easy to clean - this has been tried and tested many times - especially handy when giving finger foods! I just wish that we had bought this pram from the outset!

Have had this pram from birth of my now nearly 5 m.o. son. Its not too wide at the back like some 3 wheelers, comes in great colours, excellent range of accesories that provide great storage spaces, easy and light to fold and nice low centre of gravity so very stable. On the downside, was not great for my eager-to-sit baby, who screamed incessantly when he couldn't see the outside world in newborn position. Overall, am very pleased with this pram which I choose over Mountain Buggy and Bugaboo.

The set up for two children, ie, a newborn and a toddler is fantastic and can't be beaten by any other pram. The ability to carry two children in a pram the same size as a single pram is great, and the fact that the toddler has full shade instead of sitting out in the sun is wonderful. However the pram can be a little unstable, the basket is small, the rear axles bend quite easily which affects steering, and the harness set up means that a child has to be quite large before it fits them snugly. The harness straps can slip easily if not secured properly and require four individual clips to be done up before it is completely secure. To recline the main seat requires zips and clips to be undone and is not easily achieved when the child is asleep in the pram (which is when you often want to recline the seat).
