Hilarious, inappropriate, and chaotic–what else would you expect from our favourite foxy morons from Fountain Lakes? Finally, the Kath & Kim crew are back, but this time they are bigger and better than ever on the big screen. Don’t believe me? Just wait till you see Kel bending over while picking up his morning newspaper…
Kath & Kimderella picks up several years after the television series left off, with Kath and Kel slumbering into the monotony of marriage, and Kim walking out on Brett because he doesn’t worship her enough. Kath wins a holiday to Italy so the girls head off on their husbandless adventure with the adorable Sharon in tow. Of course the trip descends into madness with plenty of laughs, craziness and randomness.
The fairytale storyline is absolutely ridiculous, but for some reason this makes the film even funnier, as though the team knows that nothing should be taken seriously–not even the film-making experience. Prue and Trude drop by, as does Barry Humphries, but the most memorable cameo comes from over-affectionate therapist Marion (Marge Downey).
Kath & Kimderella is completely silly and ludicrous, which is exactly what makes it so much fun. It’s Aussie self-deprecating ‘umour to the extreme. Take your girlfriends.
