Looking for something fun to do with the kids this weekend? Brisbane Open House is a great way to occupy the kids and get them learning about the city as well! With heaps of great games and fun to be had, as well as having an educational tone, Brisbane Open House is the place to be this weekend!
Brisbane Open House will feature the second annual Children’s Program supported by Shingle Inn on the 12th and 13th of October. It’s full of fun and engaging activities for kids of all ages and includes a free activity book which will guide them through some of the city’s greatest buildings. And all this for free!
The first 250 children to visit the Shingle Inn City Hall Restaurant will each receive a cupcake, and there are awesome attractions to check out – the Australian Institute of Architects’ Lego masterpiece area, and HASSELL Studio’s courtyard sized 3D game of Snakes and Ladders for children (and parents!).
Children can explore 71 of Brisbane’s greatest buildings while they play and learn all about the city – and back for the second year will be the Griffith Film School’s interactive exhibit which lets young movie buffs make their very own mini movie – a mini flip book! Also, the Roma Street Fire Station’s Fire Truck display is sure to be a huge hit with all aspiring fire-fighters.
