4 things to do with kids in the Northern Territory

4thingstodoNTThere are some fantastic things to do with your kids in the Northern Territory if you on holidays in the outback.

Check out these great places to visit with your family – especially if there are some animals lovers among you!

Aquascene – Doctors Gully Road, Darwin

Down at Doctors Gully, a peculiar event happens when the tide comes in – the wild fish come looking for food from friendly people. These fish are willingly handfed fresh bread by the visitors to the park. This incredible experience is great people of all ages and the perfect place to take any curious kids for a visit.

With the beautiful gardens to wander through at Aquascene, this is a great spot for a family day out and picnic.

Alice Springs Desert Park – Larapinta Drive, Alice Springs

Your kids will love to visit this park and learn all about the flora and fauna that live in the desert. They can take in all the natural wonders of the outback and experience the culture of the area.

There are events and activities to take part in, as well as just exploring the park yourself. Spend the day checking out the Alice Springs Desert Park with the family and get the most out of your trip.

Crocosaurus Cove – Mitchell Street, Darwin

Is your little one into crocs? Are they all about the sharp teeth and lightning-fast tails? Well, you’d be going awry if you passed up the chance to visit Crocosaurus Cove. With some of the meanest and most exciting creatures to behold, your little one will be so rapt they won’t want to leave.

Spend the day learning all about crocodiles with your family – and it’s even open for birthday parties! If you’re in the area, it’s a definite must-visit.

Territory Wildlife Park – Cox Peninsular Road, Berry Springs

It’s wildlife galore at the Territory Wildlife Park.  With 3 different sections to explore – the Wetland, Monsoon Vine Forest, and Woodland – it’s a brilliant place to take in all the fantastic species, outstanding forest walk, and beautiful scenes of nature.

The kids will love visiting as they wander through the different environments, learn about all the wildlife, and have fun with the family.
