Although natural, breastfeeding is a learned skill for mother and baby so it can often take extra support and plenty of practice to breastfeed easily. The ABA (formerly the Nursing Mothers Association) is Australia's largest source of breastfeeding help and information. We have nearly 300 local mother support groups around the country and over 1,100 volunteer breastfeeding counsellors. Wherever you are, we're here for you! The best way to prepare for breastfeeding is to find out as much as you can about it before the birth and attend a Breastfeeding Education Class.
