Judy Watts Swim School

Judy Watts Swim School is a family operated swim school offering developmentally appropriate classes for young babies, infants through to pre-schoolers.

Our water is heated to 33 degrees for maximum comfort to babies and the pool is salt water. Baby and parent classes start from 6 weeks with our aquamovement program, which is a form of warm water massage promoting a feeling of wellbeing for both baby and parent. Young babies are able to move more freely in the water thatn on land.

Our baby/parent to teacher ratio is four one as we feel that this is the time when it is so important for the baby to learn an affinity with the water and also be comfortable experience going under water.

Safety also plays a big part in lessons and it is when our babies are young that we can start to teach then to be safe in and around the swmming pool area.

BATH TUB DROWNING - We loose many young babies to bath tub drowning please do not leave you baby in the bath unattended for any reason.

Our teaching focus is promoting:


• Safe pool practices both in and around the swimming pool area.
• dolphin-like movement (newborns)
• water confidence and awareness
• social interaction for both parents and children. This is a great networking time for new parents to met new parents of babies of similar age.
• motor skill development
