Private, "in-home" antenatal childbirth & parenting classes:
Providing private, personalised antenatal childbirth & parenting education to expectant parents in the comfort and privacy of their own home. Sessions are flexible to suit your needs and include everything that a hospital based program would cover.
As a Mother to two boys, a Midwife and Childbirth Educator, I understand all too well how overwhelming and daunting the thought of pregnancy, birth and parenting can be.
I truly believe that knowledge is power. I aim to provide you with the knowledge and skills that you need to embark on this journey and to eliminate some of the high levels of fear that surround childbirth.
When I started teaching hospital based antenatal classes in 2009, I discovered that some couples were looking for the option of having private antenatal classes, which are more flexible in terms of time and content. Women and their partners often work full-time during pregnancy and fitting in classes at the hospital can be difficult. One-on-one programs significantly cut down the hours needed and even cover the content in more detail than hospital-based classes. They allow couples to ask more personal questions about this important time in their lives and I can tailor classes to their needs, e.g. multiple pregnancy, planned caesarean, refresher classes or women with specific medical conditions.
I continue to practice clinical Midwifery, to ensure my skills are up-to-date and relevant.
Health fund rebates are available depending on level of cover.
