Department of Health run child health centres provide regular appointments and baby check-ups, parenting courses, breastfeeding help, baby feeding help, childhood immunisation clinics and specialist services when you need some extra help and advice over the telephone. Most of these services are offered free of charge to residents of Tasmania.

To make a appointment with a Child and Family Health Nurse, contact your regional office and your call will be directed to the nearest available service

There are three additional Parenting Centres that offer more intensive support for families experiencing difficulties with children 0 to 5 years of age.   The Tasmanian Parenting Centres are included in the list below.

The Parenting Line 1300 808 178 is a 24/7 telephone helpline available to assist parents with stressful parenting issues or concerns.
