Talking Levi Shane's Grand entrance

I know i posted this on the general chat forum, but i thought i'd put it in here as well for those that look strait here.

Hello everyone,

My little man (yes thats right, MAN!) has finaly arrived!!! quite a shock cause we were expecting a girl but couldn't be happier as long as we had a healthy baby thats all that mattered.

I had a 24 hr labour, but i was contracting for about 4 days, i got my wish of going in on my own . The labour was the best life experience ever! although in the last few hrs Levi was all twisted and got stuck and cause a lot of pain, i had to have my waters broken and have the drip because my contractions were not strong or close enough to bring bub down more. I ended up trying the gas (it didn't work) then i was given pethadine (that didn't work either), then tried the epidural (that didn't work either) then becase i was stressed bubs became stressed his heart beat was getting to 211 bpm so they had to put me in for an emergancy cesarian. They tried toping up my epidural, but it still didnt work, so tried the spinal...they tried 4 times to put it in but couldn't find the right spot so i ended up being put under which ment my fiance had to leave the operating theater which made him sad.

Even though i went through all that i have to say it was the best life experience ever, and i would go through it al again and not change a thing. It most certinly has not detered me from having another baby in the future.

Wow! Congrats to you and your partner. Levi looks georgous!! Poor thing - contracting for 4 days - well it was a heroic effort and it seems you've been rewarded

Both my boys were supposed to be girls too! Did you have a boy's name just in case, or did he look like a Levi?

Default Question for mum2b???

Just curious, at our 18wk scan they said it was a girl. When did you find out it was meant to be a girl and how many scans did you have?????Thanks
