Unfortunately some kids are given botox/collogen injections - especially as toddlers when their parents enter them into those beauty pagents/contests. Not to mention false teeth or teeth whitening and the like.

I remember reading about a young girl having LIPOSUCTION in preparation for one of those contests a few years back, think it was in Time Magazine or a mag like it I have no idea how or if this kind of thing is legal, I can't see how it could be...but it does happen.

Definitely only in America I reckon

There is a show called 'Toddlers & Tiaras' on Foxtel sometimes. I don't think the little pageant/beauty contest girls are given surgical modifications or anything (at least I'd hope not??) but the amount of false teeth, dental work, hair extensions, spray tans and make up is just so disgusting. Some of these kids are only 18 months old!!!

So many of the mothers on the show really are living through their kids and if their kid gets a hair out of place or messes up in anyway or becomes tired....watch out Sorry to babble on but it just makes me so angry and sick. Reminds me of that poor little angel Jon Bonet Ramsay all those years ago Just so yuck.

I didnt see it, but it sounds so wrong .

I know botox can be used for treating medical conditions but this sounds totally different. It should be illegal.

I just did a bit of a search on Google (lol I'm bored and heavily pregnant and can't sleep ) and there are a few articles that say botox can be medically beneficial to children suffering cerebral palsy.

I can't find any article or webpage that says whether botox or collogen is legal for children not suffering medical conditions though. I'd hope that it isn't.

yeah i watched that episode awhile ago and i cringed at it.

But yeah it happens IRL in those baby pagents and shows. Really sad and disgusting.

But i have read it can help with some medical conditions.
