HI my name is kylie and i have a 9mth old girl called keira! I am giving her finger foods and the more i give her them the less she will let me feed her foods that ive pureed up! I want to give her yoghurt and all that stuff still but she cracks it when igive it to her and cracks it! Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what other things i can give her for lunch besides sandwiches? I think she will get sick of them soon!
thanks!

alice is almost one, so not sure if all these ideas will suit, but i use small bits of finely sliced apple (no skin), pitted prunes (checked for pits), slices of banana (which can be messy) and things like cheese sticks and pieces of cooked chicken for the protein.
one thing alice always takes from a spoon is mashed baked beans because she LOVES it. you could try making an omlette with cheese in it maybe, if you want her to get more protein and diary....??? good luck.

This is more something I love myself but assuming your bub will eat eggs you could try this.
mix some chopped hardboiled eggs with approximately the same amount of mashed potato and a bit of grated cheese. (For adults also a bit of onion) I am sure you could sneak some veggies in their too for bub- cauli/broccoli might be nice, or even some finely shredded zuchinni/carrot.Roll them into firm balls or oblongs (golf ball size or smaller- depends who they are for) dip in beaten egg and cover with breadcrumbs. Warm them in the oven for about 10-15 mins depending on size and serve either warm or allow to cool. Fantastic with tomato sauce For us adults they are great served cold in lunchboxes and especially nice either warm or cool in salads. Nicki |

Maybe you could give her slices of fruit and show her how to dip them in yoghurt, a bit messy but also fun
You could also try breadsticks/toast fingers to dip into pureed veges or soup.

cut potatoes into wedges, toss in olive oil so they're all coated and spread out on a baking sheet. Bake at 200-200 turning them over once when the bottom sides start to go golden - about 15-20 minutes. The more oil on the sheet the less they stick & easier to turn over. Total baking 30-50 min depending how thick you make them. Let cool before serving. For young bubs (under 1) may need to trim any well-cooked bits at the ends. Can flavour lightly too.

pikelets are great and you can put spreads on them so they are a bit like sandwiches but different..
