Default monique is here

hello everyone,
well monique arrived on sunday morningat 10.51 am.. 8 pound 13and posterior, after being woken up with a lovely back labour at 12pm saturday night. We got to the hospital at 2 , deciding because it would be a long night we mose well get there and get comfy, and im glad we did, it is all abit of a blur till sunrise ,no drugs, just me hopping around like a monkey singing like pavarotti,,lol... gas was bliss at 6 am along with a simon and garfunkel cd, I was off with the fairies , with the nasty reminders of pain that the baby is trying to get out,,, i pushed for half an hour , ( something i really could do without never reliving again) and out she came, gave me a little tear that didnt need stitches and she is perfect. The midwifes let us do everything , we felt very in control and confident,, i had a shower after feeding her,, in her own time, then we all walked up to the ward. We came home at 6pm monday , and have been resting ever since,, i feel really good , cryed alot yesterday,,, with very sore boobs , but i know it will settle down,, and just taking life as slow as i can, enjoying every moment..

Yay, and welcome to baby Monique!
What a lovely birth story. How wonderful that you were 'in charge' of your birth and recovery.
CONGRATULATIONS
