Default Third Trimester - Fast Approaching! What antenatal classes are you doing?

With the third trimester just around the corner its time for us to think about what kind of birth and labour pain management options we want to use. I'm booked in for a CalmBirth course and I cant wait! I also plan on using water for pain management and deep breathing techniques.

Whats everyone else planning? Booked in for ante-natal classes or wont you bother?

I'm booked into ante-natal classes at the hospital in November, but have been doing a lot of my own reading and also have enrolled in Active Birth yoga classes for all of the final trimester.

I was planning on hot baths/showers during early labour but I've also been recommended a TENS machine which can't be used in water. Will have to decide one way or the other, or maybe just wait and see what happens?

Hey MOT - I'm doing the calmbirth course next week. I'm so excited - can't wait
I'm also planning on using water. My OB actually encourages water birth (I love her!) so hopefully that will also happen.

I have booked into antenatal classes for the end of October. I have a c-section (as you all know) and so therefore I won't be using any water etc but I do get to use the spas if no one else is using them before hand which is good to know.

I just hope that I get good medication afterwards, I just can't take morphine or pethadine as I am allergic to these unfortunately.

I am looking forward to the classes though.

Roll on third trimester!!!!!!!!!!!!

DH and I are doing an active birthing class in Oct - a full day on a Sunday.
I am home water birthing - so yes, water will be a big part of my pain management.
Getting excited!!

Default classes for us

Yes I have also booked a CalmBirth package, 2 consecutive saturdays, and will use my own inner power to manage my pain.

Showers/Bath, and my breathing. Doing a dru yoga class at the moment, helps with relaxation, pelvic exercises and getting DH to assist. Run my midwife a bonus!

all very exciting,

I am doing two Saturday classes at our hospital with DH in Mid October.

All booked in and ready to go.

I am hopping for a pain free birth you know one of the ones that some of the ladies talk about on here where they only labour for about 20 minutes and then they give birth

Ok now I am sitting hear lmao.
