im bored, so heres brayden birth story :)

I was due to have brayden on the 26th of october. i went into labour at 3am monday morning (labour day! -24th oct) with contractions 20mins apart, i wasnt convinced it was labour til about 11am when they were 6mins apart. i was contracting at 4mins apart until 5pm when my midwife turned up and i was 1cm dialated!!! i just about cried, all that pain for 1cm!! stayed at home and by 11pm contractions were still 4 mins apart, went to the birth centre and i was 2cm! the midwife did a stretch and sweep - i went home and contracted all night, about midnight contractions were 2mins apart lasting a minute. went to the birthing centre at 9am tuesday (25th oct) and was 6cm. midwife did another s&s and broke my waters. i stayed inthe birthing centre and stayed in the shower for 3hours, ran the place out of hot water so went on gas for pain relief at 12pm, my husband had been awake since 3am monday with me so desided to have a nap on the couch in the room. by 1.30pm i was starting to feel the urge to push, the midwife had left the room to fill the birthing pool for my much wanted waterbirth, so i was essentually by myself and one push and Brayden went flying onto the bed! i yelled to midwife that he was here -she ran in and woke hubby up (who was suppose to catch the baby!) and then saw Brayden wasnt breathing and had turned blue! she rang the emergancy bell and the team of pediatritions came in to revive my baby. i only had a 2 second glance at him and all i could see was tonnes of black hair! i delivered the placenta and then had a shower, then i got to hold my beautiful baby boy born 8pound 6 oz (3.8kg) and 51cm long

Far out one push!! Were you scared when he just came out and noone was there? i would be screaming haha! Im glad it went all well in the end!

such an AMAZING story!!

i keep hearing lots of 'scary' stories like this & tho i wasn't that scared of giving birth ('cept the pain) i am now! a lady at work gave birth within a couple of hours of her first contraction - twice & in fact almost didn't even make it to the hospital (whilst some other poor lady had been having contractions for a couple of days!)

it's made me realise that we are all unique & i can't wait to see how my birth story will turn out...
