    Default Using expressed milk??

    Hi All

Im leaving my little one with my Dh for the first time this friday for a fair few hours and will be leaving some expressed milk - anyway he asked a question that I dont know the answer too ..

If he warms the milk up for roxy (say 100mls) and she only has 60odd - can he put the un-used portion back in the fridage and re-warm it if she wants more later?

i had no idea about this and am looking for advice ...

    thanks all

no!! don't do that . if he think she might only have half of it, put it in two separate bottles, you know? if she only has one, then you can leave the other for next time and not have to worry about any bacteria growing in it.

No, you shouldn't do that with the milk. There's more chance of it becoming contaminated if you do that.

It's better to heat a smaller volume, and then heat some more if necessary.

I used to have EBM in the freezer in 40ml lots. I found that seemed to minimise the wastage.
