    Default Housekeeping??

How and when do you get your housekeeping and laundry done??

    Do you have a housekeeper?
Do you do it all on the one day or just whenever you get the chance??
Do you find Mornings or nights easier for you to clean??
    Any easy tips??

I actually enjoy cleaning... I just find it hard to find the time and then organise what needs to be done first?? I use to be a perfectionist and yet in the last few months it has gone missing...Argg driving me insane with things out of place all the time!!

Any perfectionists out there who this has happened to?? lol

    Hi there,

I will confess that i am also a perfectionist (well try to be lol) I have three children and my DH who continually take things but never put them back! It drives me crazy!
But i usually do quick tidy up after drop two kids off at school. I work afternoons so sadly when i come home i mop floors and dishes (as my darling daughter at 2 years makes mess so better to do when shes in bed) sometimes my DH does this for me, bless him.
I usually leave the bigger cleaning jobs until the weekend eg bathroom etc.

I try stick to a routine usually i am up before the kids around 630ish and i will prepare lunches do a load of washing (usually we wash everyday one load whites one day and darks the next etc) then i get the kids cereal ready with drinks etc. I jump in the shower, this wakes them up LOL then as they are sitting having breaky i hang out the washing. If its raining i use the dryer easier and i dont have time to wait for clothes to dry for three days!!

Clean up kitchen, dont wash dishes though we usually wash all these after tea to save water and only wash cups or juice cups as needed during the day.

Wednesday is a quick clean run the vaccy over and do any other little things that need doing.

Usually vac every second day. Sundays is big clean day we all pitch in, vaccum bathroom clean kitchen properly, like wipe over cupboards, stovetop etc windows, windex windows and tv fishtank etc and change beds. Everyone helps the kids enjoy it and then we will spend lunch at the park as a reward with lunch(and no cooking lunch for me haha)

I find if i fold my washing as i pick it in it saves heaps of time but i have to admit that i have a pile of washing sitting there ready to put away for 3 days before i do LOL but sundays the house is spotless same as wednesdays the other days its just untidy i guess. If i spent all day picking up everything i wouldnt have time to do anything with school and kinder runs shopping etc and trying to work 80 hours a week at home too!

Some days i think grr dont want too but if i stick to these days it works and its funny the first thing the kids do when they get up on sunday is say whats my job! That gives me the motivation to give the house a good scrub and let the floors dry etc when i am out

Wish i did have a housecleaner though! that would rock!

I prefer to do everything in the morning so i have the rest of the day free with the kids etc.
Then dh and i usually do a quick tidy up after dinner and the kids pick up their toys before bed time. Dh and i go through the whole house from top to bottom on the weekends and get everything else that needs to be done that hasn't been out of the way.
My dh hates clutter with a passion so we try to keep it to a minimum an dtry to have a clear out at least every fortnight.

I get everything done in the morning.

A load of washing goes on as soon as I'm up. Beds are made as people get out of them. While the washing is on I do all lunch and dinner prep, make my salads for the day, wash and dress myself.

Then when kids get up i feed and dress them, then while they are playing i quickly do the housework.

Then i drop Jayce off and have the whole day to do whatever i like - playgroup, park, beach, library or bubhub.

There is never much housework as we don't own heaps of stuff and the stuff we do allhas a speshy place or a basket it goes into. Same as all children's toys and clothes.

I find being super organised gives me heaps of time to do what i like.

It is usually a 5am start. And at night i try to get a head start on tidying etc.
