    Default John Paul College- QLD

    Morning,

DH and I are looking at enrolling our son at JPC from Child Care through to Year 5. We have been given a tour of the school, read though all the promotional material and past newsletters, now I would like to hear others views and opinions of JPC. So to the parents and children past and present of JPC, I have a few questions I hope you wouldn’t mind answering

    -Do you recommend JPC?
-What do you feel are the strong points of JPC
-Do you feel JPC fees offer value for money?
-Did/do your children enjoy themselves and thrive at JPC?

    Thanks, T xx

I only have anecodotal comments about JPC, as I didn't go there, but my cousin and three friends did. My cousin liked it, as it gave him lots of opportunties to excel in music (he's a viola player) but most of my friends had mixed experiences in highschool and found it too religious and hated the conformity.........but hey which teenager wants to conform right? One went on to become a highschool teacher, another a photographer/artist and the other one didn't amount to much. Funnily enough, only one of these people has kids and won't be sending hers there, for me that is telling.

Sorry, I've only got really out of date, anecdotal evidence to offer too.

They used to have a reputation for a good music program and marching band - don't know if that's still the case.

A friend of mine had to catch their school bus because of where she lived (she and I went to a local state school) and she used to be given an awful time on the bus by their kids.

That was about 15 years ago though

If you've spent time at the school and are happy with it's philosophies and values, then I'm sure your son will be fine

dreamer I have 5 cousins who all went to or are still going to JPC. They have successfully completed senior and have gained employment in their chosen area. As far as I know it still has a good reputation for teachers as they can afford to be picky and choose the most qualified.
