Default What to use for sensitive skin???

Hi all just wanted to know if anyone has any advice on baby shampoo, baby wash, creams etc for bubs with really sensitive skin. I just want to be prepared because skin sensitivity runs in the family.

We have had to cut absolutely everything except:

    QV Bath oil for washing
    Sorbolene for moisturising
    Am-o-lin as nappy cream
    Huggies wipes for nappy cleanups

Johnsons products seem to be the worst for us, including the powders and bath oil. They contain sodium laureth sulfate which is basically detergent.

As soon as we stopped all og the bath washes/additives and began using QV Oil and started moisturising daily with sorbolene Ava's skin has returned to baby soft and non irritated!

    Hi BB,
I used only bably sorbelene cream on Em when she was born, she had very sensitive and very dry skin. Used it for daily massage and baths. There is a website I came across that will send out samples: www.gaiaskinnaturals.com
they have products for baby. They also smell great! All organic ingredients, nothing that can irritate baby's skin.

    Hey EmysMum,

I sent for the samples and received them and then was too scared to try using them in case she had a flare up. Might give them a go now!

Give them a go Kirsty, they say there are no sulphates, and other 'badies' in them and all ingredients are derived from natural sources. So I don't see why they would get a reaction. Good luck and let us know how you go!

I agree that the QV products are excellent.

And if flare-ups happen, try MediHoney for eczema.

I use Amolin sensitive wet one on DS, as my brothers and I were all alergic to wet ones. He hasn't reacted, and I haven't tried any others. They are great, nice a wet so everything comes off easily.
