Help! DS has turned feral

Hi everyone,

Just needing some advice. My DS is nearly 4 months old as has been the most placid gorgeous calm little boy until now. Since he was about 9 or 10 weeks old, he has been sleeping right through the night from 6:30pm til 6am every night without excpetion (and I have been loving my sleep!)... until now. For the last week he has been waking up at all hours and screaming. During the day he wont drink from his bottle, our routine is all out of wack and I am at my wits end. He doesn't have a temperature and seems healthy and nothing majorly wrong its just that he refuses to sleep or keep to any sort of routine anymore... and we were going so so well.

A friend of mine has a 7 month old boy and she said he did the same thing and he still wont sleep through the night. He stopped sleeping through at 4 months and hasn't done so ever since.

I wanted to know if anyone has had a similar experience, Is it a phase or am I doomed with a feral child and a life of no sleep.

Poor you!

My DD (nearly 5 months) slept thru right from birth which was fantastic. However, the last few weeks she has been waking more frequently to feed during the night. Maybe it is developmental? Maybe a growth spurt? Who knows....
Just wanted to say you are not alone - and hope it all works out for you.

I think most bubs go through some periods of being unsettled. How long has it been going on for?

The stats on babies not sleeping through the night are pretty high, but if the unsettledness continues past a couple of weeks, especially the bottle refusal, you might want to consider the possibility of an allergy of some sort.

I have had a feral child since he was born!!LOL
Billy has only just started to sllep for 6 hrs straight but during the day the only thing that gets him to sleep is the vaccum!
DS1 never cried and slet so well so i have no idea why Billy is like this..
Sorry not much help to you but atleast you know your not the only one!
