I homebirthed 4 of my 5 children. My only tramatic birth was the one that ended in a transfer (baby turned brech during my labour) and subsequent c/s.
I actually have met very few homebirthers IRL, and none of them have ever expressed anything other than satisfaction with their birthing choices. I don't know any other people IRL who have needed to transfer either.
Therefore, I am one of those who has to vote about how wonderful it is and how I often bore people silly with my stories of the same.
Maybe h/ber's are more aware of the birth process and the fact that it will be hard work, so see less trauma in the situation than other's might preceive?? Don't know myself, just guessing....

    Yes!!! She's a darling ...

We met through my brother, when we were both single and childless. We kept sneaking glances across the room because there was mutual recognition. Amazing that after so much time had passed, we found each other again due to a mutual passion for supporting women & birth.

Yes, her name, and the story behind it, is beautiful.

Please give her a from me when you see her!
