    Default cot as side car...

    Hey all

Eve has always been in our room in her cot until we started co-sleeping about a month ago...she has been waking so much up to 5 times between 11pm and 6am. So I am thinking about using the cot as a side car.

Thing is I am worried about her day sleeps & sleep before I go to bed...without me there, she can crawl...i am worried that she will crawl off the bed and hurt herself.

I have been trying to teach her to get off the bed safely but she still hasnt worked it out yet.

    Any tips out there?

(I posted this in another section...with no replies...thought I might have some luck here )

Hamish co-clept with us for about 5-6 months before I started testing out the cot. I needed to know he could sleep in there before he could crawl. We were lucky that he liked the cot because he wasn't very good at turning around to slide off our bed until about 14 months!
I am not sure I can offer much to help apart from day sleeping in a cot or putting your mattress directly on the floor, ie- off the base. Maybe The Queen can help, I know she was side-carring with her boy. Good luck.

I'd put the mattress on the floor, or even use one of those fold-out kiddie sofas in the loungeroom!
