It's not a very exciting recipe but I just make a standard cheese sauce recipe and pour it over the lightly steamed cauli (I add broccoli as well) and sprinkle some parmesan over the top for a crispy topping.

The basic cheese sauce recipe is:
    1 Tab Butter
    1 Tab plain flour
    1 cup milk

1/2 cup grated cheese, although I never measure but rather taste to see if I've added enough.

Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat and whisk in flour making sure you remove all lumps. When mix starts to bubble, remove from heat and gradually add milk, whisking in each addition thoroughly to remove any lumps that form. When all milk has been added, return to simmer until sauce starts to thicken, stirring occasionally to stop lumps forming. Add cheese and stir.
This only makes about a cup so if you love your cheese sauce like I do, double the recipe.

You can also add things to the sauce like mustard or white wine for a bit of variety. This is just a basic recipe. Hope this helps!
