    Default Pregnancy & Baby Expo

Hi! Just wondering if anyone has ever attended the Pregnancy and Baby Expo in previous years. My hubby and I are having our first baby, due in November and are thinking of booking a last minute trip to Sydney from Tassie for the expo next weekend. It does sound pretty good but would appreciate any opinions as to whether it will be worth going to, considering the expense for us to attend?

    Thanks!

It's certainly not worth travelling for.. last year we spent about an hour walking around and didnt' really learn much.. and there wasn't a hell of a lot of freebies... are we allowed to say negative things about it on here!? I don't think it's worth it personally :P

I agree with Cordelia. It's worth going to if you are in the area, but definitely not worth the cost of travelling etc (unless you are going for another reason and simply just timing it to match).
Its fun to walk and look around at the samples etc, but you can learn as much from the internet, good baby shops, other Mums etc.
I am hoping to go to this years one here in Brizzie again, but it's only 30 minutes for me!

I went to the Sydney one last year and it was great. I was pregnant at the time so I stocked up on a few essentials and a few non-essentials

I think it's good for pregnant women, and not many people otherwise. Most of it is about buying things... so buying prams/cots/toys etc. A lot of the things I already had by the time I had DD.

It might be good if you want to buy some cloth nappies or a sling or something though... you can try them out instead of searching online...

But definately not worth travelling for IMO...

I was pregnant when I went last year and although I found it interesting, it isn't worth spending that much money to go, imo.
