    Default Remedy for morning sickness

Hi everyone. Just wanted to share with as many ladies as I can the remedy that I found for morning sickness. I am seven weeks pregnant and m/s kicked in big time at five weeks. One day I felt fine, the next I felt horrible. I tried the usual: crackers before rising, ginger, B6, red raspberry, ginger ale, wristbands, you name it. I was feeling worse every day. Not only was I steadily nauseated, but I also felt as if I had the flu - very "toxic" and achey. I've always been into herbs and natural remedies, so I started doing research into possible causes of this horrible condition so I could figure out what other herbs I could try. One theory I found online is that our livers become overworked due to filtering all the extra hormones in our body, and thus become sluggish so are bodies feel "poisoned". That made a lot of sense to me, because I'd had this liver thing years ago with some blood sugar problems and it felt very similar. I knew from past experience that taking Dandelion helps cleanse and support the liver. So I talked to a family friend who is a Naturopathic Doctor and she said there were no contraindications for pregnancy and that I could take up to 6 a day, safely. I started taking it late morning about 5 days ago and within 3 hours the flu-like feeling lifted, along with some of the nausea. I have gotten steadily better since then, and have not thrown up one time. I find that if I wait too long between doses I start to feel crummy again, and I still have some strong food aversions and weird cravings, but otherwise am feeling so much better. I have posted on several forums about this, in hopes that other ladies will try it and it will bring them relief as well. I just don't believe in having to feel bad during such a joyful time. Good luck to you all. I hope this helps someone.

    Default TRying that one

    Hi,

I have had morning sickness too since about 5weeks and now that I am 9weeks I am starting to get a bit sick and tired of being sick all the time.
My sense of smell is hightened so much that I can smell a person smoking or garbage or anything bad from like a few blocks away - and as a result I get sick or feel sick for the rest of the day. I also feel more sick when I am in a car - the motion. Which I have never had before.

I thought my m/s was starting to get better, but when ever I say that I usually get terribley sick for the next few days. Yep I have tryed a few things too, but nothing seems to work - apart from having a nice hot shower and then going to bed. And then its round two the next day.

So thank you, I will get some dandellion today - do you have little tablets or tea? Cause I am still working two days a weeks and most days I try to be sick before I go to work - or else get sent home, if they know I have been sick.

Anyway, thanks again and anymore tips please pass them on.

    Cheers your m/s pal
    Bambini
