Hello everyone, just thought i would share my birth experience with you all, and what a good one it was!!
My baby wasnt due until 27th May this month, but we were booked in for a cesarean on the 16 may, due to the fact that it was a breech baby.
I was just getting ready to go to coles on Tuesday 1st May, I was going to have a big cook offthat day so that my family would survive for the week or two after baby arrived.
I had had diareah that morning accompained by a niggling pains every 6-7 minutes, they werent hurting me, but i knew they were not the same as BH. ( and because me and my hubby had "horizontal dancing" that morning i was worried that it may be something to worry about.
I phoned the hospital, an they told me to come on in to be checked over, and to bring my bags just incase. I felt like such a dill walking into birthing suite, as i really thought we would be going home again. After an hour on the contraction maching, and an internal, they confirmed i was in labour.
They told me that i was on the theatre listfor that day, but probably nothing would be done till later that night, as theatre was busy. As soon as he had finished his sentece. the phone rang saying they wanted me in thatre!!!
So Lilah Jayne was born at 15:22 with the cord around her neck twice, she was 4 weeks early and weighed in at 5 lb 1 oz my husband and i were estatic, she is beutiful and here are some pictures to prove it.
It really was a positive birth experience !!
