    What a cutie Jaclyn&Serena!

My 4 year old crawled at 4 1/2 months but only walked on his 1st birthday (at his party - it was so sweet!!)

My poor lil bubs Ty Ty is 9 months old and still struggling to get his crawling into gear. He gets himself into proper position but then can't move. Poor angel has been trying to do this for about 7 weeks. No amount of crawling on the floor by Will & I can make him do it!

I have a friend who (accoring to his mother - who I adore) crawled at about 4 months too, then didn't walk to 18.

Default in no hurry to get walking!!

    Hi,

Seems to be alot of quick off the mark kids!! My little one is 16.5months old and in no rush to get moving! She only started crawling at 10months and pulling up at about 11months! It used to stress me so much (Hello to Alicesmum - we chatted in the August 2004 babies thread about our little ones not crawling yet- seems neither is interested in walking yet either!! ) She took her first independent steps a few weeks ago and now will rarely try it - stage fright!! When she does though she giggles hysterically with excitement!! Everyone tells me to be grateful that she isn't mobile yet but I can't wait to see those little fat legs in motion!

Any mums of REALLY late walkers - how long after first steps do they actually take off?

Bella and Dan both started walking the week before their first birthday and both times Daddy was in another town getting things ready for us to move he missed out both times!

Both of the kids crawled at 6 months, walked around furniture from 7 months, took a few steps at 10 months and then held off until nearly a year old.

I have a neice that started walking at 9 months and just kept running into things ... her poor forehead - it was always black and blue!

I have a nephew who was 17 months before he started to crawl and then took until 22 months before he started walking and hasn't stopped since!

Both of my guys started running straight away ... hence the fact that they spend a lot of time in strollers or reins when we are out ... my sanity is important ... as important as their safety!

My dd is 9 mths old and is walking.

She is really tiny for her age so she looks really funny walking already.

My bubba started walking properly on the week of her 1st birthday. She was taking steps between furniture and people from about 10 months.
