Is it bad for my baby for me to get preggers again?

My baby is 6 months old. I really fancy getting PG again now. But people have said it would be unfair to my DD as it would force her to grow up too soon. My DH is worried we would be 'unfaithful' to her. Also is it really hard having two babied under two (assuming i got preg easily which is no guarantee. I got greg fiorst time last time). Don't know what to do.

You know what.... the closer in age that they are the closer they'll be as mates ( or so I've heard). YOur ds will be fine I'm sure. My cousin fell pg 3 mnths after having their 2nd (wasn't planned) & there have been no probs... just a bit tiring for her.
I know of other people who only have very short age gaps & the kids are such good mates!! Your ds wont be missing out so long as you still show her lots of love!!!

I'd be concerned about a drop in breastmilk supply affecting one so young. I don't have enough milk now to feed a wee one

Other than that there are plusses and minuses for every age gap, IMO

If your ready to have another go for it as JanetF said there are pros & cons either way & no matter what gap there is you will always have some "well meaning" person on the street or in the supermarket tell you either how bad it is or the likes even if they dont have kids

You will know yourself if your ready & plus once you have a routine for yourself even if somewhat dissheveled then things will be fine.

My friend fell pregnant 2mnth after her first other than it being a shock and tiring he boys are very close. Go for it if you feel ready and your partner is keen. Wish i could persuade my hubby.

I had the same dilemma! I would love another bub now and Emily is heading towards 7 months. I have decided to leave it until the winter now to give me a bit of extra one on one time with Em and I need something to do on the cold nights

I think go for it whenever you are ready. Its going to be tiring, but it will be tiring anyway!

I've had them close, and had a really big gap, and either way its worked out great.

I got pregnant with Angus when Logan was only 3 months old, and i haven't regretted it for a second!! I love having 2 little ones, so if you want to do it...go for it!

Logan was also fully breastfed until he was 6 months old, i didn't stop completely until he was 8 months, so don't let the breeastfeeding thing stop you, it's perfectly safe to feed and be pregnant at the same time, and my milk supply didn't diminish whatsoever!

Do whatever is right for you and you partner!
I don't think it will force your first born to grow up too quickly, it might keep her a baby for longer, you'll want them both to have similar routines

Whatever you decide you'll cope with because you'll have to - good luck
And about the concieving thing, I thought #2 might not happen straight away because #1 was concieved first go, I was wrong, both time first go

Lucky for us we waited till DS was nearly 11 months old

I'm exhausted with a 23month age gap, but I think you would be no matter what age gap there is. Do what feels right for you and your family. If you feel ready go for it!
I'm super clucky right now, but I think we'll still be waiting a while for number 3...
