    Default Moving to Caloundra

Hi.I'm new to the whole BubHub thing and just found this section.I'm Deb.I live on Phillip Island at the moment with my partner of 10yrs and our 2 gorgeous children,Kailee 3 1/2 and Broden 20 months. We are moving to Caloundra in early October Can't wait!! and I'm hoping to get to know a few mum's from the area.I'd love to hear from you all and hopefully pick your brains(wont hurt too much ) and find out a bit about what it's like to live in the area, the people, what's around for the littlies eg playgroups, activities etc and also what is around for Mums.I'm hoping that it's a friendly community.Anything that you could tell me would be fantastic. We are heading up on holiday in late July for 2weeks to check things out a bit...job opps for Brett and rentals etc...but I figure the best way to find out about the place is to ask those who live there.I look forward to hearing from you soon.Have a happy day .mlfm Deb

Hi there and welcome to Caloundra when u get here! It's def the place to be!!!

There will be heaps for u to do. A few of us go to a playgroup here in Caloundra as well as library time and we are planning a few meets soon, including a gals night out.

It is great here. The beaches are awesome and there's lots of nice picnic spots. We are always out on the weekend having bbqs and playing sport in the parks and beachside.

Stay in touch. Luv Kiah (I live in Caloundra).

Hi Deb!! Yep, another Caloundra mummy here!

I've lived in several places up & down the Eastern side of Aust & I just absolutely LOVE it here!! DH & I moved here just over 4 years ago & we hope to stay here forever!

I'm very active in getting my kids out & about & meeting up with other mums & bubs, so I can fill you in on all the great things to do here. There really are HEAPS!

We rent & I think you'll probably have your work cut out for you. Permanent rentals here are very scant at the moment. Best advice I can give you is to jump onto realestate.com, keep an eye out on what's around & get in touch with every agent you can well in advance so that they can let you know as soon as something becomes available.

Let us all know when it is you'll be coming up in July & we can organise a meet!
