    Default Late bloomer

    Hi,

We are planning to conceive our third child at the end of this year. I'm 41 and have a 6 year old and a 1 year old.
I'm getting a few strange comments from people (friends) that may think I shouldn't do it but I'm looking on bubhub for some positive encouragement. When I think about it, I've been a late bloomer all my life and why should this be any different?

Good on you. Just go for it as it's no one else's business really. I had my first child three months ago at the age of 41 so I must really be a late bloomer. Luckily, everyone I knew was really happy for me. Although I had trouble conceiving (tried for three years) I had a great pregnancy with no morning sickness which I attribute to the herbs the naturopath gave me and now have a beautiful healthy baby boy.
Also my mum had her last baby, my younger brother, at 42. He's now 31. Lots of people have babies later in life and I've never heard of anyone regretting it. Good luck!

I had my 3rd baby last year a month before my 41st birthday. She wasn't exactly planned but very wanted. I got quite a bit of negativity from various people including my MIL who refered to the possibility that I could have a special needs child! Of course there isn't anything wrong with Stella who is meeting all her milestones early anyway!

Don't worry about what anyone says - it's not their family. It's such a privledge to have a little baby in your family. Good luck.

    Best wishes

Instead of attacking them, why not share some of your sun?
