its not necessary to actually steam sterlise anymore, you can just rinse in cold water, wash in hot soapy water, then rinse in hot water and leave to airdry
this is the advice given by midwives and child health centres cetainly here in WA after various health department studies
wat the OP saidIf u do want to boil them tho, just put everything in a saucepan of cold water then put on the stove to boil for 5 mins then take them out

sorry another silly question ........when you say "airdry"......do I seal them, or just leave the teats, bottles etc all separate to airdry and then seal??![]()

Be careful if you do decide to boil them...
DO NOT take your eyes of the pot...
Ive heard many story's about people forgetting and ending up with a pot of melted plastic..![]()
Airdry, In hospital I was shown to sit upside down on a paper towel. At home now I just sit them downside in the dish rack till dry then seal them up ready
yep same just leave them in the dishrack or sometimes i put on the counter on a clean teatowel and then i just put them in the cupboard i dont actually put them in a container but i guess you could put in a tupperware if you wanted, so long as you dont put them away with any droplets of water still in the bottle or the teat
I never knew you didnt need to steam sterilise???
If you boil them you only need to do it for 4 mins then let them air dry. Its a pain tho so hope your steriliser is back soon![]()
