Question Toddler Beds what do you think

Has anyone bought a toddler bed or did you go for a BIG bed.

What type and how did your littly go, how old were they when they moved from the cot?

All of mine went straight to a single bed. I can't see the point in spending $200+ on a bed that they will only be in for a year or 2, only to spend another $200+ on a single bed.

I moved Jacob at 10mths, Brooke at 12mths and Matthew at 7mths. I'll be moving Troy at around 7-8mths too.

DS is 18.5 months and has just moved into a big bed (King Single).

He is going really well, goes to bed no worries and sleeps so much better then he did in the cot!

my son has a love n care toddler bed and went into it at two. Its great but not cheap. Its worth it if your going to have more kids, thats the only reason i did as i have a baby that can use it when he groes out of it. My 5yr old can fit in the toddler bed aswell

we converted the boys cots into toddler beds with the use of a few DIY Bunnings supplies Couldn't afford 2 toddler beds, and 2 single beds won't fit in their room, and they're too young for bunks yet.

So we just took the sides off their cots and strengthened all sides with steel brackets. Solid as a post!

They LOVE their little beds.... and since we got the safety rail that you can fold down so you can sit on the bed (we got the 'childcare' brand one) they have slept like rocks (the first week was hard as we didn't have the rails yet and they kept rolling onto the floor

I think it made the transition easier too, as all the bedding was familiar, the look of the bed was familiar and we could leave their room in the same arrangement. Once they grow out of them, they'll go into bunks.

I've seen a step 2 like little tykes car bed, you know like those yellow cars that they can drive around only it is a bed. It is second hand $220, we have our own cot mattress. I think it would be cool.
