    Question What would you do?

my MIL has sent dd (2 months) a chocolate easter bunny for easter and wants photos of her when she eats it. i don't think a 2 month old should be eating chocolate so how do i not upset MIL without giving dd any chocolate.......btw i think this is a very sweet idea and understand that she's excited as it is her first grandchild and it is dd's first easter, but really giving a 2 month old chocolate and expecting them to eat it is pushing it a bit, is it not?

don't give it to her, she shouldn't even be on solids yet. Explain that to your mum. You should eat it though And suggest that you could do the photo thing next easter.

Maybe take a photo of it with it in her hand or something like that. Seems a bit of an odd request given her age.

just un wrap the top, have the camera ready, as soon as she gets it to her mouth take the photo, them grab it off her.

your MIL sounds really sweet and she will never have to know the truth

DS's first easter he was about 5 months old and we had an easter egg still in the alfoil wrapper he put his mouth on it to eat it we took a pic and took the egg off him. We didn't really do much for easter other than that.

Last year was my DD's first easter, and she was about 7 mths old, we took photos of her with our unwrapped easter eggs/chocs, and you could do the same.
Take a photo of your DD with the chocolate, she doesn't have to be eating it, that way you can appease your MIL, but I agree babies shouldn't be eating chocolate, and at 2mths, not even solids!!
I'm actually quite relieved that my now 19mth old DD still doesn't know what chocolate, lollies and sweets are!!

Gotta love MIL's - sometimes I wonder if they were even parents......

I'd just take a pic of dd with the easter egg next to her. No need to do anything tacky like smear her face with choc. I'm sure she's cute enough without it.
