Bubs Haircuts - how cool is this place?

Tyger needs his first hair cut

On the sunny coast I saw an add for Deanie's Kids Cuts. The have workstations set up with fairies, popstar studio, tool shed, lizard island wave rider etc.

Wondering what you did your your DS or DD first haircut. Was thinking I might take DS here to make it really special (for me) that is so I can take a cute photo of him. At first I thought I should trim his fringe but thought I might make him look silly so want real 'little boy' look so he stops getting 'girl' comments

Did you keep any hair?

Im trying to find a good hair dresser in brisbane...dd's got a mop head...her hair comes down to the middle of her back when its straight (the backs curly) and the front all comes down past her chin...she looks like cousin it

....I'll deffinately be keeping her hair

I shaved Jayce's head, kept some hair too as I have a silver dummy for each child made in Uk which opens to keep a lock of their hair and their first bubba tooth that they lose. It's a tradtion in our fam.

Hi Deb and mums,
I took Matty to Deanie's Kids Cuts and it was so much fun. I'd tried getting his hair cut at my hairdressers and he would just scream and cry! But at this place Matty loved it - he didn't want to leave!

He watched a bob the builder dvd and had a toolbox full of tools to play with. I think they have a special for mums one morning - bubs can play with the toys. And they have cards where your bub gets a free gift and haircut!! And bub gets a toy for 1st cut. Can you tell I love this place??

LOL - yes!

It sounds terrific - anywhere that gets 'em to sit still while they have their haircut is a winner in my book.

What a shame it's so far away from me.

I'm with you Kate... Deanies is just brilliant. My little girl had her hair cut there a couple of times, it costs a little more than other places but gee it's just so easy to have it cut when she's being kept busy watching a dvd and playing with fairy gear.

It's just down the road from the Cheesecake shop ( cross at the lights and head to the little set of shops) heading towards Kawana, it's in the little arcade of shops and it's located around the back, right next to where the old video shop was.

Not sure how busy it is these days, but I used to always have to make an appointment to go there.

Thanks Deb for letting us know about this place. I have seen them advertised in the yellow pages and wondered if they would be any good. Savannah needs a bit of a trim up so I might take her there as she wont sit still for 2 seconds, she might get stabbed somewhere else!

I drive past this place all the time - I've always thought I'd take Claire there for her first hair cut......... probably won't appreciate it much by the time she's 23 though.....
