Default Do I need a detox? TMI

Ok I had diaorhea(SP?) on sunday after a BBQ on saturday night! I thought it mustve been something not agreeing with me and had it for 2 days then all week Ive been constipated have had the WORST cramps in the world and have actually been having these symptoms on and off since birth. SO I was wondering is it something im eating or from birth, the whole changing body $h*T! anyway just wondering on some advice? I have the Detox book there ready if I need to use it I feel like cr@p! I loose my appetite in the mornings and wont eat until like 3 have headaches and am a bit "backed up" So any advice? any one similar? what should I do???

I would ask your GP but it sounds like when I was Lactose intolerant. I would swing from the runs to not going for a week! Milk and creamy sauces would set it off with horrid cramps.
It lasted about 5 years and then went!!

I have always had problems with regularity so I have for the last month or so been taking Metamucil 2/3 times a day. It’s fantastic to start and maintain a heathy digestive system.

Any chance you could have a gluten intolerance aswell, anyone in your family got coeliacs? That can do weird things to your regularity and especially the cramping.

Don't do a detox. Do an elimination diet and reintroduce the foods in order to determine whether they are the foods that you are intolerant too.
After pregnancy and birth your hormones are ruling the roost and progesterone for example slows the digestive system down and expands the blood vessels which is why constipation is more common during pregnancy, after birth the hormone levels are readjusting again and if you are taking the mini pill then you are still on a higher level of progesterone. The other factor that often contributes to constipation after birth is that your fluid levels are not high enough to compensate for breastfeeding. The intermittent diarrhoea is the body trying to tell you something is wrong and you need to give it some attention.
I'd recommend increasing fibre in your diet a lot, a lot of raw vegetables and low salicylate fruits such as pears. At least the 5 serves of fruit and vege per day. Try going for 5 of vegetables and 3 of fruit.

what has happened to you sounds extactly like what happened to me after i had my princess...

I would go to your gp and get a referal to see a gastro specialist... it turned out I have irritable bowel and im lactose intolerant.... since I have cut out ALL dairy and worked out which foods irritate me i havent had any problems.... best to get it sorted asap
The cramps and the sickness is the worst and very disruptive and embarrassing.
