Have you thought about Mitcham? I recommend it.

I had my ds at Knox and they were absolutely fantastic. DH could stay overnight and they helped heaps with breastfeeding and all the other bits and pieces you need to know as a new mother. I had Dr Peter Tang as my OB and could only give him rave reviews.
Good luck with everything, I hope you find what you are looking for.

How do you organise a tour of Knox hospital, I am unsure who to contact and haven't been able to find any details?
I would reccomend Mitcham as well, i have two bubs there in the last 18month my first spending 6 weeks in special care they werre awesome. i personally would not reccomend Dr Tang at all. If you ring the hospitals themselves and just get put through to the maternity section they will be able to advise you on there tour times! And the will also be able to give you a list of OB's that work from the hospital.
Personally, and I'm putting this as nicely as I can...I wouldn't let Tang deliver my pizza.

I've had both my bubs at Knox (10 years apart)... can't say enough about them! wonderful. The midwives are very good and they seem to 'get' what you want. If you want alone time they respect that, if you want help they are there in a flash! Food is good, they are flexible on most things, the are very respectful of your choices (eg, I didn't want DS to have vit k or hep b jabs and they were fine with that). Rooms are lovely and mostly private, double beds, private bathroom, great food etc
highly recommend!![]()

i had noah at jessie mac in november...i can not recommend them highly enough! I was so happy with them. I originally wanted to go to cabrini but didnt get in so at first was a little dissapointed but now i am soooo glad, i will definitely go back there! They are due to do reno's this year so just check that out, hopefully they would be done by the time you were there. The delivery suites were great and they allow water births (if your ob agrees). The rooms were great, we had a double bed private room so my partner could stay there the whole time. They let you stay 5 days which personally i think is brilliant as you really feel comfortable to go back home. My ONLY complaint would be some of the middies were a bit pushy when it came to 'assisting' with breasfeeding, but from what i hear you tend to get that everywhere. If you want recommendations of an ob, I had Dr Binh Li and he was AMAZING! I will be going back to him as well next time round. He is the most gentle, kind hearted man and has the loveliest bedside manner. He listened to everything I wished for and didnt push me into anything i didnt want. If you have any more questions im happy to help out![]()

Hi Em1984,
I was reading your post about Dr Binh Ly (I think his surname is Ly). Is he the one which an office in Clayton? If you don't mind me asking, did you have a natural or C-section birth with him? I'm TTC #1 atm and I'm shopping around for OBs. I heard some good things about Dr Binh Ly but haven't heard anyone who had a C-section with him. Just wondered if you knew anyone who had and if they were happy with the results (this is just in case I needed a C-section).
If you could tell me anything more about him I would love to hear about itI was tossing up between him or Ravi Kashyap.
Thanks again!
