We used a lovely round decorated candle that my MIL bought from a gift shop. My niece & nephew were also christened on the same day & they just used the candles that the church supplied. They were just normal white, thin, tapered candles.

I have seen on ebay that you can get ones personalised with a photo of your child & the date of the christening. I would have to loved to get one of them but the christening was a bit of a rushed affair so I didnt get time to order one.
    Me + him = DD (7), DS (4), DS (4 months)

    We'll have a round one
Apparently the church gives one as a gift for us
