    Default Leapfrog's Baby LeapPad

Does anyone have one of these? Is it any good? They are on sale in a shop near me and I can't decide whether to get one or not. My little one (19 months) loves books and interactive toys... but not sure how much she'll use it (and they are still quite expensive, as are the extra books you have to get). But the sales-person reckoned she'd be using it until she was 3 or 4, so would get a lot out of it!

My DS is 2 and got one for Christmas last year. He likes the noises and music (he loves to read) but he still needs me to sit with him while he uses it as it can get a bit frustrating and they have to follow the directions that are said by the leap pad. Anyway, I like it but as I have to help I might as well read him a book myself. However, in saying that he DOES like it alot and I think he will like it more when he understand the instructions and can follow them. If it is on sale it might be a good investment to give to her for Christmas????Hope this helps.

DD got one for Christmas when she turned 17 months.

It hasn't gotten much in the way of use, because although the pages aren't very easily torn, they ARE easily bended and mangled by little rough hands... so I'm scared she'll ruin them.

The book also requires that a little picture be pushed with every page turned... which means that, since DD doesn't understand this, I have to do it, or she just randomly pushes stuff which really doesn't make much sense.

I think it's a bit of a waste for now, TBH, and will be waiting until she can understand how to use it a bit more (after 2) before I get it back out again. For now, it's safely in her cupboard...
I've now lost 36kg thanks to the gastric sleeve!
