Question Organic Baby Food - Should we be feeding it to our Bubs? - What are you doing?

    Hi guys

I'm looking for your feedback on what you feed your bubs (big or small) and in particular how important feeding them organic food is becoming to you (or not).

Just click here to have your say...

    Default Very interesting research!

This sounds like a really interesting project. I feel very strongly about feeding my baby only organic food. I would love to find out the results of your survey when you are finished!

My DS had just started solids i only make him homemade vegies and i buy the fruit in jars but i only purchase the only organics baby food and i've noticed that heinz have also some organic fruits that i have also started buying. The only reason i am buying and not making them myself is because i don't know how to cook the fruits and it is so easy to have a jar of fruits handy when our on the go..

i REALLY wanted to eat ONLY organic while pregnant, but i didn't have enough money for it - or time to make everything from scratch!! hopefully i can if/ when i have a secoind!! BUT, i do plan on only feeding her organics when she can eat!! & hopefully i'll be able to eat only organic when i breastfeed (or, if i have to bottle feed, i hope to get the organic formula!!)

mummy sam. Cooking fruit for your little one would be much better than buying it. You only need to simmer it in a bit of water until it is tender enough to mash.
You don't need to cook pears, etc as they are soft enough to mash with a fork.

As far as eating organice goes, it is more expensive, but if you cut out processed foods your bill will be about the same If you really care about what you eat, but can't afford to go all the way organic, check out the worst veg and fruit as far as pesticides go and only buy the organic ones. I know brocolli and cauliflower are bad, as they have such a huge surface area which cannot be thouroughly washed. Brocolli is sprayed something like 7 times while it is growing, so is chock full of poisons.
