Does or has anyone had trouble with their son misbehaving at school? My DS1 is in grade 1 and has had a few warnings and got detention today. I don't know what to do I have spoken to him and spoken to him. Does anyone have any other suggestions?????![]()

I am not too sure what more you can do at home unless you devise some reward scheme for him.
I know that in Year 1 my son was extremely tired and when he is tired his behaviour goes downhill fast, so maybe ensure he gets plenty of sleep and doesn't do too much after school if possible.
Toby was awfully tired last year too (year one...) We decided to homeschool....best thing we've ever done
Hope things work out for him![]()

Have you tried asking him what is bothering him? It could be something totally unrelated to school, it is just presenting itself in the classroom.
I am doing "Discipline" this semester at uni....
Poor is when you run out of month before money
Fish oil, takes about six weeks to show difference in behaviour. Tastes **** but works.
Worms can make a child naughty but more likely irritable.
Maybe he's bored and misbehaving or even seeing naughty kids get attention. Speak to his teacher to see whether good kids are shown extra attention as well.
Take the emphasis on when he gets into trouble away and talk about the good things in his day and why being suspended from school would make him miss all these good things.
Lastlyfor you being a mum's tough work.
He is actually perfect in the classroom apparently. It is all happening in the playground at little and big lunch. I have started a reward chart - he gets a stamp on his chart each day he is good - so many stamps equal different rewards. I do think he is partly tired but he sleeps 11hours a day and wakes up when he wants. Always goes to bed at 6:30. I have also just started him on Omega 3's so we'll see what happens... thanks for the![]()
What is he actually doing to get into trouble?

usually it is something else bothering them, so they vent and act out....
try to find out whats going on. has something changed in your house? even little things might throw them quite a bit...
good luck
