ok well im not from there but my ex has lived in inala all his life and never had a problem
yeah the area may not be the best but it is affordable to people that do not have great incomes my son goes to his fathers house often and i do not worry about him at all being in that suburb.

I have alot of friends that also live in inala and they are great people i think that there is a bad bit of every suburb..

I do not live in Inala but my mum used to before all the bad reputation started. It has improved over the last couple of years but the stigma came alot from all the housing commission houses and some of the not so desirables living there.

A friend used to work for the HC and they used to tell us nearly every third house had to have floor boards, walls and doors replaced repeatedly from tennants ripping them up for firewood etc.

I also got off the train at Inala when I was fifteen and threatened to give over the violet crumble I was eating so I don't have great memories of the place.

I guess it's just one of those places who gets a title and it sticks. Like I was calling it a hole and I hadn't even been there before.

I thought you had a problem spelling 'INDIA' for a minute.
I had no idea 'inala' was a suburb of Bris Vegas.

i think inala is an area where people live to try and get ahead as it is not as expensive as alot of other areas

I'm not from Inala, though it is has a bad reputation which unfortunately is still 'known'

My grandfather lived there, his choice he could have lived anywhere, we were worried of course, but from my visits there he lived in a nice complex with nice people etc. He did tell a story (he had many) about how he was walking through the park and some kids approached him and said give us your wallet, he said to these kids come here my story if you still want my wallet you can have it. Anyway they listened about him being kidnapped as a kid, going to war, losing a kid, divorcing 2 wives who took his money, working till 70+ and having to have a knee replacement, THEY DIDN'T TAKE HIS WALLET

I think there is bad things that happen in every suburb and would undesirable too most, sometimes though a bad name sticks, but if you look at inner brisbane, eg. teneriffe, new farm etc, this is all now prime real estate with all the trendies hanging out here and being the place to be seen, not so long ago it was the undesirable place, some of thats still around the area, but the 'name' has changed.
