    Default Rolling herself awake??

Arrrrghhhhh- my DD is having terrible trouble getting to sleep at the moment!!

She is 5mth old and has had no problem with sleeping her whole short life! she was sleeping through the night (for 10-12 hours a time) at 10 weeks!!

For the past month or so she has been learning to roll and I have been so excited - encouraging here and giving her all opportunities to master this event!! Finally over the past two days she has cracked it and rolls without a problem.......little did i know that this would spell the end of sleeeeppp.....

she keeps flipping herself over in her sleep and waking herself up! She went to bed tonight at 8pm and has been woken 3 times so far!

Any tips out there to keep her on her back at night whilst not discouraging her from her natural development??

I was given a Safe-n-Sound Baby Snuggler as a gift for my 1st born. Although I rarely used it. It's supposed to prevent babies rolling onto their stomachs when sleeping and sliding down the cot under the blanket.

I made my own Anti-roll pillow

I rolled up two towels and secured with elastic bands, then popped them into a pillow case, measured the distance she needed between each towel, folded the end of the pillow case over and pinned it with large safety pins (this side goes down in the cot).

Wa-la my own anti roll pillow, this worked a treat until she started to learn how to squirm upwards towards the other end of her cot.

I also use to pin her down tightly with a summer blanket.

Bugalug, i too am having this problem.
Just the last two days. At first i thought it was amusing when i found her in her cot on her belly having a good ol time, and like you said, very clever...... but yes our settling and sleeping has turned into a nightmare.
She gets out of the wrap, rolls onto her belly and just screams.
I either need to learn to wrap tighter or look into this anti-roll pillow.
Everything i read suggest that you stop wrapping once they reach around 4 months and / or are rolling.
How are you going with your little one?
