Default Big Breasts - Problems with Breastfeeding

    Fellow big breasted women,

I know this may not be a problem for most, but I have come across a few like me, that have large breasts and therefore problems breastfeeding (I am usually a 10E but with pregnancy grow to a 14H).

With my first I wanted so badly to breastfeed but after 6 weeks of trying in vain (too much milk, nipples so large baby had trouble latching on, cracked nipples, etc) I gave up.

Second baby came and after milk came in (Pamela Anderson eat your heart out) I couldnt cope with the same problems and went on the bottle. Both times I had great support from midwives and breastfeeding advocates and took all their advice, but to no avail for me.

I am due in May and as much as I would like to breastfeed I am scared I wont be able to. I recently had a woman in a 'larger sizes' bra shop tell me that most (99.9%) of her customers with large breasts had trouble breastfeeding because of the size of their breasts. This gave me some comfort to think that I was not alone.

    Camille.
