Smile There is a light :)

    Hello,
I just had to share something great and I'm hoping it will let you all know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel

I'm officially PND free after a hard year, I'm slowly reducing my meds and am feeling so very happy and on top of the world! Life is good again!

I do have the depression history too so it may appear again in the future, but I'm so well equipped with tools to help me through it. I can not thank my GP and Psychologist enough for everything, but mainly my hubby, bubby and bubhubby! LOL! They took the brunt of it all and if it wasn't for your shared stories which offered me some sanity in a world of fogginess, who would know what would have happened?

And yes I know that I will have good days and bad days, but just the feeling that it is normal is what is awesome.

I just had to share this with you all, to say that there is a light. And for you, maybe it may take longer, maybe it may be shorter, but you can beat it and you can be happy again

Coming on here was the best thing I ever did! Thank for letting me share my story...

good for you kerrie.. i hope there is something in the name 'kerrie' that means 'on the road to recovery... it is my name too exact same spelling (which is pretty uncommon, i find..)

glad to hear you are getting there!

Glad to hear things are looking peachy!
I'm getting there too, feeling good, but I'm still at the stage of being too afraid to even consider going off the meds... I'm sure the time will come though...

Good on you Kerrie! I am the same - over my PND now, not on any medication for about 3 months now, and much happier.

There's a lot to be said for getting the right combination of help, medication, and support, because with all that in place, no matter how long the journey takes, you will get there.
