Default If she is UTD, what will happen?

Our little staffy (i mean little! she is the size of a 8 month pup but she is about 7 years old), maybe pregnant.

Our concern is that with her being so small she mightnt be able to cope with a litter.

Also, other than her getting fat, is there any other way of knowing?

    Hi,
firstly she is too old to really have a litter, and it also depends on what breed she was mated with as to wether she would have problems, besides gaining weight, her teats will get larger, do you know when she was mated gestation is about 63days, you can have blood tests, xray, ultrasound etc depending on how far along she is, when was her last heat ??

I would be going straight to the vet.
And if she isn't pregnant I'd have her spade so she couldn't be.

Yep def go to the vet and find out. A friend of ours staffy was very tiny and she had a terrible pregnancy, only 3 puppies out of six survived and she nearly died in the process because she was too small and also quite old. She was a very sick doggy and it cost them a fortune to save her. I'd be getting her fixed asap if she isn't pregnant.

She was on heat over christmas... The other dog was a staffy as well.

She had parvo as a pup, hence the reason she is so small.

    She is otherwise really healthy.

She really is too old to have puppies, I don't breed my girls past 3 and 4 at the oldest. If you do choose to continue on with a pregnancy you could be risking her life. Whelping is hard with a yong dog and someone who knows what they are doing. There is a good chance you will end up with serious complications (including possible c-section) and unhealthy puppies. Hope you do the right thing.
