    Default Re-usable nappies

    Hi Everyone

I'm pregnant with my 2nd child and have been considering using fitted cloth nappies.

They don't seem very cheap but I guess it would weigh itself out with the money spent on disposable nappies over a 2- 3 year period. I like that they're better for the environment and they look like they'd be so much more comfortable than disposable nappies but I would like to hear from anyone that has used them or thought about using them and they're opinion.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Here are a few sites to start you off on your journey to using cloth nappies. It explains the different types of nappies ie fitteds, pockets, AIO's etc including all the other terminology (liners etc). They both also have great instructions about washing modern cloth (dry pailing - no need to soak nappies anymore).

If you have any other questions please ask.

PS Is your 1st child toilet trained? If not have you thought about using cloth on both bubbas?

A guy from my work bought $600 worth of cloth nappies before their baby was born, used them for a week and then never again!

I was waiting to hear what his opinion was because my baby was born 4 months after his so I never gave them a go.

Now that I'm using disposables I couldn't imagine using cloth ones - I couldn't bear the extra work on top of everything I already have to do.

Sorry Environment, I do my best most of the time, but don't care about you when it comes to nappies!

    huh

leishacaz - Modern Cloth nappies are a sinch these days, so different from the old flat nappies.. there's not a lot you have/need to do and to be honest it's a lot of fun. Yes they are only nappies and they catch poo ect.. but modern cloth nappies are fun. Lots of cute prints which is a bonus.

Definitely have a look around the cloth threads. There's heaps of great information.
