Default Attack of the crazy chickens

Okay, we are puppy sitting mil's doggy. But our chickens rule the roost. They've already destroyed our beloved vege garden, tried to peck the hell out of the peg bucket and now they are stealing the dogs food!

I put some food out today and heard all this banging. Came out and they had polished off the whole bowl. So then i went to give pup a rissole and they ran up and stole it off him. Bullies!

Thats not the only prob. Does anyone know if they eat that dogfood if its going to wreck our yummy chicken eggs. Yuk...its making me sick thinking about it.

    Help!

    your a classic Kiah.
I think the chickens need to be taught a thing or two. Take the chickadee ringleader for a drive by red rooster and KFC and explain the facts of life to it, ha ha.
AT the same time tell the dog to pump up and fight back!!

    Ahh you make me laugh

    Soooo funny Nic!

They have taken over our yard. They stalk me. I've caught one watching me in the shower a couple of times thru the window, dirty thing perched up on the hot water system.

They stand on the bbq and peck at the kitchen window wen I'm washing up. And i dont dare leave a door open or even unlocked incase they break in....these chickens really r crazy!

We have 40 chooks all different sorts and no dog food doesnt effect the eggs, mine get the dogs left overs and scraps although there are a few things they cant have, like bananna peels and onion, citrus ect makes them sick so does dry bread. Mine attack the dogs its funny and the rooster attacks me if i touch his girls. . they walk in our house and pinch the dogs food if i leave the door open long enough, they are cheely animals. Good Luck with them

Thanks for that Mrs J. I shouldn't get annoyed with them, they do provide us with such gorgeous eggs. They taste like cream and the yolks are so yellow.

Funny how they act hey. How come u have 40 chooks? Are they your pets or are u farmers?

lol this makes me laugh. My parents have kept chickens for years, hens and roosters. I was always sure that the roosters were organised because they used stage organised attacks on me and my siblings when we went to get the eggs, good thing that their spurs weren't too big. They used to get into the house all the time we had one hen that would roost in the bathroom which wasn't fun when you had to use the bathroom in the middle of the night!
